Network for the Future
Majungmul Project is a professional exchange and residency initiative, gathering emerging and mid-career producers from Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, and Thailand. Taking its name from ‘majungmul’, the Korean term to describe the act of priming water in a water pump in order for the water to flow better again, this pilot project aims to gather producers from these countries to:
Learn about each others’ contexts and challenges- Discuss and research existing and future barriers to international collaboration, especially between these countries
- Develop ideas and plant the seeds for a future efforts at internationalisation and developing networks of collaboration
